When citylife became too stressful and longing for peace and quiet increased, two enthusiasts left Stockholm for Långshyttan and its mansion, a Sleeping Beauty. Today the mansion is flourishing and peace of mind prevails in the park with its buzzing bumblebees and singing birds.

THE MANSION

Långshyttan is situated in the southern part of the province of Dalarna. It is a small community with a long history of local industry. Among old and new factories, workmen´s dwellings, and lovely nature you will find Långshyttans Brukshotell, a country hotel surrounded by an English park with lawns, tall trees and a peaceful stream. Here you can relax, enjoy the quiet atmosphere, explore the surroundings or visit one of the nearby towns of Hedemora, Falun or Borlänge.

The hotel is operated by Carina och Bengt Wåhlin since 2007, and in 2016 they bacame the owners. Through the years they have with hard work and much love renovated the mansion to the modern standard it has today, at the same time preserving its historcal herigae and original exterior appearance.

Vi har fått företags stöd från Länsstyrelsen i Dalarnas län inom landsbygdsprogrammet 2014-2020. Syftet och målet med investeringen är att kunna erbjuda ett boende anpassat till den efterfrågan på boende som nu råder i området. Investeringen består av ombyggnad/upprustning av befintligt hotell/boende.
